Overview

What a DeskPro customer support professional does

Customer support is the part of your business your customers actually experience. The DeskPro staffs it with dedicated remote support professionals who work your phone lines, shared inbox, live chat and helpdesk queues as members of your team. It is built for ecommerce brands, SaaS companies and service businesses where ticket volume has outgrown the two or three people absorbing it between other jobs.

Your professional works inside your helpdesk (Zendesk, Freshdesk, Intercom, Gorgias or HubSpot) under least-privilege access you grant and can revoke, using your macros, tone rules and escalation paths. We recruit, screen, train and manage the person; your support lead sets priorities and reviews the work like any in-house hire.

What Tier 1 Owns, What Reaches Specialists

Most support volume is repetitive, and very little of it needs your product or engineering team. Before anyone touches live tickets, we write the boundary down with your support lead: what your DeskPro professional resolves outright, what needs approval first, and what goes straight up.

Escalation is a documented path, not a shrug. Bugs, chargebacks, legal or safety issues and out-of-policy exceptions move to a named owner on your side, while your professional keeps ownership of the customer conversation so nobody gets handed off.

  • Order status, tracking and delivery exceptions
  • Returns, exchanges and refunds within policy
  • Billing questions, invoice copies and payment updates
  • Login, password resets and account detail fixes
  • Product and how-to questions the knowledge base covers
  • Subscription changes, pauses and cancellations

First Response, Resolution SLAs and CSAT

Targets are set with you at the start: first-response time by channel, resolution time by ticket type, a backlog ceiling and a CSAT floor. Those numbers become your professional's scorecard, and aging tickets or SLA breaches surface in a short daily report.

Quality is monitored, not assumed. A team lead reviews a sample of tickets and recorded calls each week against a written rubric, and low CSAT responses get read rather than averaged away.

  • Chat answered inside your customers' expected window
  • Email cleared to a defined backlog each shift
  • Phones answered rather than sent to voicemail
  • Open tickets touched again before going stale
  • Weekly rubric on accuracy, tone and documentation
  • Macros and help center articles updated as gaps appear

Why it works

What changes once the role is covered

The point is not to add a person. It is to give the workload a permanent owner.

Answers Inside the Window

First-response and resolution targets are agreed with you and worked against a clock, so tickets stop aging quietly.

Coverage Past Your Timezone

Shifts can be staffed for evenings, weekends and holidays, so the overnight backlog is cleared before your team logs on.

Escalations Arrive Complete

Anything above Tier 1 arrives with reproduction steps, account history and prior attempts attached, keeping senior time on real problems.

Capacity You Can Scale

Start with one professional on one channel and grow into a full desk, at a cost advantage over in-house hiring.

Good fit

Who this service is built for

If more than one of these describes your operation, this is usually the first role worth outsourcing.

  • Ecommerce brands whose ticket volume spikes with every promotion
  • SaaS teams where engineers still answer Tier 1 questions
  • Businesses with no support coverage after 5pm or on weekends
  • Founders and operations managers personally clearing the support inbox
  • Teams with a growing backlog and slipping first-response times
Our collaboration with The Desk Pro has made handling administrative tasks straightforward, giving us more time to enhance client relationships. Their impact on our growth is undeniable.

Questions

Customer Support FAQs

Something not covered here? Ask us directly.

Yes. Shifts are staffed to your coverage window rather than one fixed schedule, and overnight or weekend cover is a common reason teams start with us. Peak-season and holiday cover is planned in advance so a launch or promotion does not arrive unstaffed.
