Questions about individual roles
Personal Lines CSRDo your personal lines CSRs need to be licensed?
Endorsements, ID cards, billing research and documentation are administrative servicing rather than licensed activity in most states. Coverage advice, licensed quoting and binding stay with your licensed staff; we can also recruit licensed support. Rules vary by state and carrier, so confirm with your compliance counsel.
Commercial Lines CSRCan a DeskPro CSR really handle commercial accounts, or only personal lines?
Commercial lines is a separate assignment with its own training track. CSRs are trained on BOP, general liability, commercial auto, workers' compensation, property and umbrella structures, and on the endorsement, audit and certificate workflows those policies create. Mixed books can be scoped across both or kept separate.
Policy ServicingWhat does your policy checking process actually cover?
Each issued policy is compared against the quote, the signed application and the binder: named insured, dates, limits, deductibles, attached forms, scheduled property, premium and fees. Anything that does not match becomes a correction request, tracked until the carrier issues a corrected declarations page. The checklist follows your standards.
Endorsements & Policy ChangesCan a DeskPro CSR submit endorsements directly in our carrier portals?
Yes, when you grant access. Your DeskPro professional works under their own named credentials in the portals you already use, at the permission level you set. Some agencies start with the CSR preparing submissions for a licensed staff member to release, then move to direct submission.
Certificates of InsuranceHow quickly can you turn around a certificate request?
Standard requests against an in-force policy, using wording your team has pre-approved, are typically sent the same business day. Requests needing a new endorsement move at the carrier's pace, so your professional issues what can be issued and follows up. You set the turnaround target and the coverage hours.
Renewal ProcessingCan a renewal processor follow our existing 90/60/30-day timeline?
Yes. We adopt the renewal cadence, task templates and activity codes you already use rather than importing a process of our own. During onboarding we document your milestones by line of business, including which accounts are automatically re-shopped and which need producer approval first.
